A grocery store on wheels with reasonably priced, healthy offerings soon will be making the rounds in Prince George’s County, Maryland, communities experiencing high levels of food insecurity that also lack easy access to grocery stores.

Stop & Shop to add 50 electric vehicle charging stations at stores

Stop & Shop plans to have more than 50 electric vehicle charging stations from Volta Industries at stores across its Northeastern market by the end of this year.

So far, five Volta Charging EV stations have been deployed outside Stop & Shop supermarkets in East Brunswick, N.J.; Walpole, Mass.; Morris Plains, N.J.; Willimantic, Conn.; and Pawtucket, R.I., Stop & Shop said Tuesday. These OTC Securities Had the Most Trading Activity in June

OTC Markets trading volume was still led by cryptocurrencies and cannabis for the month of June, but many other securities shined comparatively as volumes in crypto and cannabis slowed.

Over the course of the month, combined total dollar volume on OTC Markets reached just over $52.5 billion. Compared to May’s total of $60.4 billion, this was a 13% drop. Additionally,  in comparison to May’s figures, total dollar volume for the OTCQX was down 35%, however, the OTCQB volume clocked an increase of 36%.

Amazon Fresh prepares to open in Chevy Chase

Amazon is preparing its second Amazon Fresh full-service grocery store in the D.C. area, this one in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

Amazon is preparing its second Amazon Fresh full-service grocery store in the D.C. area, this one in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

A construction crew Tuesday installed Amazon Fresh signage on a former Giant Food store at 5463 Wisconsin Ave., next to the Friendship Heights Metro stop. The Giant, one of the chain’s smaller grocery stores, closed in January 2020.

Ahold Delhaize launches distribution in Mauldin facility that formerly supplied Bi-Lo: Notes | Greenville Business

Ahold Delhaize USA, a Dutch supply chain company based along the east coast, officially launched its new distribution campus in Mauldin by sending out its first product shipments to 56 Food Lions. 

The 1.1 million square foot campus, which opened on July 19, is now the largest of ADUSA’s 17 locations. It will serve nearly 200 grocery stores when fully operational. The company provides services to grocery chains such as Food Lion, Giant Food and Stop and Shop. For now, the campus just ships dairy, fresh and frozen products. It will eventually also fulfill health

ADUSA Opens South Carolina Distribution Campus

The ADUSA Supply Chain network continues to expand with the official opening of a new distribution campus in Mauldin, S.C., from which the first shipments have gone to area Food Lion stores. The facility, acquired from C&S Wholesale Grocers in May, is now one of the largest distribution centers in the ADUSA Supply Chain network, and when fully operational will fulfill grocery, fresh, frozen, health and beauty care products and break pack for almost 200 grocery stores. Dairy, fresh and frozen products were the first to start shipping from the site.
