True Food Kitchen restaurant opens at Rosemary Square, West Palm Beach

True Food Kitchen, the latest in a wave of health-minded restaurants to land at Rosemary Square, made its long awaited debut Friday in a prime location at the downtown West Palm Beach plaza.

The casual, full-service restaurant, which took over the former Restoration Hardware store space, follows the holistic nutritional teachings of co-founder Dr. Andrew Weil, who gained national prominence for his anti-inflammatory diet and wellness books. 

Opening week: Diners fill the living room at True Food Kitchen at Rosemary Square during soft-opening hours Thursday, July 20. The restaurant made its official debut the following day.

The ADUSA Supply Chain network continues to expand with the official opening of a new distribution campus in Mauldin, S.C., from which the first shipments have gone to area Food Lion stores. Gunshots were reported outside a Mexican restaurant in the capital

A gunman has opened fire outside a restaurant in an upscale area of Washington DC, about a mile (1.5km) from the White House.

Diners at outside tables ran for cover as more than 20 shots were fired.

Witnesses said the gunman fled by car after shooting towards a Mexican restaurant in the Logan Circle area.

Jacksonville’s Sweet Pete’s opens downtown Fizzies restaurant, soda shop

Promising to be “a sweet dining experience,” Fizzies & Fare opens Friday, joining Sweet Pete’s candy shop in the historic 112-year-old Seminole Club building in downtown Jacksonville.

The restaurant is the latest endeavor from Allison and Peter Behringer, co-founders and owners of Sweet Pete’s, which moved into the landmark building in December 2014.

Allison Behringer said the combination restaurant, soda pop shop and ice cream parlor was inspired by their customers. It is the first time the couple has owned a restaurant in the building, she told the Times-Union.
